The human mindset and relation to the earth and the climate change
Seminar
This will be an international seminar during the Global Week. It will be the last seminar in a serie of 5 climate seminar 2012.
This seminar will address climate change, attitudes and redefining the human-earth relationship. Are the human species a part of the ecosystem or do humans have a placement above nature?
Why do people don't want to change their mindsets?
Lecturer: Katherine Richardson - one of three lead authors of the book "Climate change: Global Risks, challenges and decisions".
Katherine is professor in Biological Oceanography and the Leader of Sustainability Science Center at University of Copenhagen.
Gudmund Hernes - author of the research report "Hot Topic - Cold Comfort. Climate Change and Attitude Change".
Gudmund is a professor of political economy at the Norwegian Business School and Senior Researcher at the Fafo Institute for Larbor and Social Research in Oslo. Gudmund got his Ph.D in sociology.
