Prof Velile Notshulwana is Professor at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) in Port Elizabeth and related to the Global University project "Knowledge without borders: education, diversity, democracy, and social justice in a north-south perspective".
In his lecture, he will discuss rights as formulated in formal (e.g., the international Children¿s Rights Convention and policy documents at the national level) and informal documents for children in South Africa in relation to the realities they live in.
