Mónica Hernández Rejón

Mónica Hernández Rejón (1984) is a producer and film researcher. Her academic work focuses on the analysis of visual and audiovisual practices from the perspective of the postcolonial, visual and cultural studies. She has a masters degree in Art History and a degree in Latin American Studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

From 2011 to 2013 she worked as a teacher at the Degree Program in Intercultural Development and Management at the same university. She also worked as a cultural manager at the National Fund for the Culture and the Arts during the same period.

In 2014 she moved to Sweden and created PANORAMICA Stockholm's Latin American Film Festival. Currently she is studying at the Master’s Programme in Cinema Studies at Stockholm University and is working on the project of a documentary co-produced in Mexico and Sweden.
